In memory of Judy Brown

I am sad to report that Judy Brown, one to the finest and long standing servants of the club has died. A founder member of the club she spent 26 years on the committee and only finished finally at the AGM last month.

She played less in recent years, but those who remember playing her remember her tactical acumen, killer drop shots and even more killer smile. She set the friendly tone for the club, that persists to this day.

Last year the committee submitted her for a LTA volunteer of the year awards because of her outstanding service to the club, so I am happy to report she knew how much the club appreciated her. We toasted her with Mulled wine at yesterdays Xmas Jumper Mix-In. On behalf of the club I have sent a card (thanks to those who signed) and flowers to the family.

I will post arrangements for the funeral when available for those of her many friends at the club who might like to attend.
