I just wanted to catch you before you started your Christmas festivities.

Your newly elected committee have just finished our second meeting and I am very pleased to say that we have made solid progress in the five weeks since we came into office.

Many thanks go to Murray,Ailsa,David, and Janet for meeting potential suppliers of new Court Surfacing for Courts 1 and 2. We have now met with 3 companies and are awaiting the final quotation which we should get early in the New Year. Anne and Julie have also been very supportive in this journey and we believe with have a clear way forward which means resurfacing both as hard courts asap next Spring while not excluding a change of surface in the medium term thereby protecting our cash flow.

We have had other meetings with East Hants District and Alton Town Councils looking at how we can progress the Roof Canopy on Courrts 3 and 4.

In addition to this we are at the final stage of negotiating an extension to the Club's lease from Alton Town Council which will secure the future of the Club. This means we can now investigate the installation of an improved Gate Access system which will make it easier to access the Club Courts at all times.

If you would like to know more about all of these plans I encourage you to come along from 6:00pm on Monday 12th January 2026 to an open Question and Answer evening which we are holding at the Cardiac Health Centre, next door to our Tennis Club, as we anticiapte we will need more space than we have in our own clubhouse.
